    Latest Search Engine Market Share

SimilarWebs data shows Google leading the worlds search engine market share with 90%, followed by Yahoo with 3.25%, Microsofts Bing at 2.88%, Yandex with 0.45%, Naver at 0.44%, and the remaining search engines at 2.34%. While search engines such as Bing, Yahoo!, and Baidu hold the second, third, and fourth positions, the market share of search engines such as Bing does not hold a candle to that of Google. For instance, Google leads search market share on both desktop and mobile devices, but Google has maintained its dominant position on mobile search, holding 93%-95% of market share. Googles dominance makes the market share of the other search engines look nearly insignificant, although Bing, Yahoo!, Baidu, and Yandex are used by millions. Bing and Yahoo! have a combined share of just over 9 percent in the US search engine market, while DuckDuckGo has the largest, with 2.6 percent. While other search engines such as Bing and DuckDuckGo have shown some growth, their share of the market is still dwarfed by that of Google. While shopping searches are just one small portion of the 3.5 billion searches that Google processes every day, they nonetheless contribute to Googles market share in search. Googles share of the market is so large, that digital marketing agencies specifically adapt their search engine optimization (SEO) and web design services to help websites rank well in Googles search results. According to Jumpshot (via SparkToro), a marketing analytics company that licenses anonymized ClickStream data from hundreds of millions of users, roughly 62.6% of all searches conducted on the internet are conducted via Googles main functions. Together, Google retains a formidable 90.8% market share in search across the web, mobile, and app -- although it should be noted that Jumpshot (via SparkToro) does not yet include data on the iPhone at scale. China, where Baidu still holds an outright lead at 55% market share, followed by Qihoo 360 (formerly known as 360 Search), has gone from 21% to 28% share in 2015. Admittedly, it is not the most polished looking search engine front-end, but Yahoo still managed to grab fourth spot on our list, holding just over 3% worldwide market share. Between all Google features and the companys subsidiary Youtube, more than 90% of all Internet searches are done via Google. In other words, billions of users around the world begin their journey on the web via Google, as the search engine provides the most accurate results within the fastest timeframe. According to StatCounter, Googles market share of the worlds search engines was 91.88% in June 2022, followed by Microsofts Bing with 3.19%, Yandex.ru at 1.52%, Yahoo with 1.33%, Baidu at 0.76 and DuckDuckGo with 0.64%.
